The freelance section, created with the cooperation of the regional Association of Journalists (Lombardy), lists the names and addresses of external collaborators within the magazines, information which is usually difficult to obtain from the actual newsrooms.
There are 1,633 journalists that have registered on www.mediaddress.it so as to appear in the media database within the newsroom for which they collaborate.
Journalists are searchable by name, subject matter/area of interest, geographical area and media category.
Data, complete with all contact information, is insert and updated directly by the same freelance journalists which have received a password to their personal page online. The recently adopted procedure of signature cross checks on the articles monitored by l'Eco della Stampa also allows regular verification regarding enrolled journalist collaborations.
